Good to know
- A mix, not a breed: the Pomsky is a Pomeranian and Siberian Husky cross and isn't recognized by the AKC, so size, coat and temperament vary widely.
- Expect shedding: both parents have thick double coats, and the Husky sheds its undercoat twice a year, so plan on regular brushing.
- May want to run: Siberian Huskies are bred to run and shouldn't be trusted off lead, so a Pomsky may need a secure fence and leash too.
- A designer breed, from crossing two purebred parents, so size, coat and temperament vary more than in a purebred.
Getting out with a Pomsky
They need daily exercise beyond a stroll: longer trails, games of fetch and time to run at the park.
