Good to know
- Guardian: bred in Italy to guard homes and property, they are protective and wary of strangers.
- Wrinkles and drool: the loose skin and folds need regular cleaning, and they drool a lot.
- Early training is essential: they are big, strong and protective, so start socialization and obedience early.
- Not built for heat: they don't handle hot weather well, so exercise them in cooler parts of the day.
- Short coat: the short, dense coat needs only weekly brushing.

They're happy with shorter, easy walks. Keep outings gentle in the heat.
