• Born to dig: their truffle-hunting heritage gives many a strong urge to dig, so give them an approved spot or outlet.
• Curly coat care: the curly coat sheds little, but dead hair stays in and mats, so it needs regular combing and trimming.
• Rustic look: the coat is kept natural and trimmed to follow the body's outline rather than in a fancy clip.
• Devoted and trainable: affectionate and attached to their people, they tend to learn readily.
• A low-shedding coat. Some people with allergies find that easier to live with, but no breed is allergen-free.

Getting out with a Lagotto Romagnolo

They need daily exercise beyond a stroll: longer trails, games of fetch and time to run at the park.
