Good to know
- Two varieties: the Hairless has silky hair only on the head, tail and feet, while the Powderpuff has a full, soft double coat; both can be born in the same litter.
- Skin care for the Hairless: bare skin needs protection from sun and cold, so plan on sunscreen, regular skin care and a sweater in chilly weather.
- Brushing for the Powderpuff: the long, fine coat needs regular brushing to prevent mats.
- Devoted companions: affectionate and playful, they like to stay close to their people and are happiest as part of family life.
- Nimble and quick: light and agile, many enjoy and do well in dog sports like agility.
- A low-shedding coat. Some people with allergies find that easier to live with, but no breed is allergen-free.
