• Sighthound: bred in Russia to course wolves and other game, they chase fast-moving things on sight, so keep them on leash or in a secure fence.
• Calm at home: they are usually quiet and gentle indoors, and many enjoy lounging once they've had a chance to run.
• Independent thinker: they are sensitive and can be aloof, so gentle, patient training works better than repetition or harsh handling.
• Silky coat: their long, silky coat needs regular brushing, and they shed more heavily seasonally.

Getting out with a Borzoi

Daily walks and some play keep them content. A mix of park time and easy trails suits them.
