Good to know

• Born companion: bred as a companion and once a favorite of European courts and street performers, they are cheerful, playful and people-oriented.
• Coat that keeps growing: the curly, double coat sheds very little but mats easily, so it needs regular brushing and professional grooming.
• Bichon "blitz": many have bursts of joyful zooming around the house, usually short and easy to satisfy with play.
• Likes company: they are sociable and get on well with people and other pets, and generally don't like being left alone for long.
• A low-shedding coat. Some people with allergies find that easier to live with, but no breed is allergen-free.

Getting out with a Bichon Frise

Daily walks and some play keep them content. A mix of park time and easy trails suits them.
